GEORGE I/II IRISH SILVER FOOTED PUNCHBOWL. John Hamilton, Dublin, Circa 1725-1731. The hemispherical footed bowl has molded rim and engraved coat of arms on one side. Engraved with a crest of a hand clutching an axe flanked by fruit filled cornucopias, scrollwork and a roundel segmented into eight parts. John Hamilton was born in 1709 and died in 1751. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (FW Woolworth Dept. Store). WEIGHT: 56 tr. oz. SIZE: 11-3/4” dia x 5” h. CONDITION: Very good with a few small dimples on side. 9-29515 (10,000-20,000)
