GEORGE I SILVER TWO HANDLED CUP. Joseph Barbitt, London, 1720. The large cup having a circular molded foot. The lower half of the body decorated with alternating palm leaves and straps with a molded central rib above. Two S-scrolled handles. The side engraved with a coat of arms in a baroque cartouche incorporating shells, acanthus scroll work, birds and recumbent lions. Hallmarks to base including a Britannia Standard mark.
