ENGRAVED SMITH & WESSON MODEL #2 ARMY SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal. 32RF. Blued finish, 6” oct ribbed bbl with rib and German silver front sight and 2-pc pearl grips. Engraved with about 50% coverage fine arabesque pattern in New York style with the snake and rod down each side of the bbl. The engraving on the cylinder is over the patent dates. Recoil shield and side of the frame grooved for loading after the engraving was accomplished. SN 37121. CONDITION: Fine overall. Retains 40-50% thinning blue, stronger in the sheltered areas with the balance a plum brown patina. Bore is strong with some shine and scattered pitting. Grips are chipped on both bottom edges.
