WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE PUNCHBOWL. Outstanding Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre footed punchbowl is decorated with Poplar Tree pattern on exterior framing views of an Italianate park with cypress, statues and a fountain. There is also a bridge over a river as well as an architectural figure which appears to be a viaduct or bridge. Interior of punchbowl is decorated in the Woodland Bridge pattern with a great deal of detail. A slender tree in the foreground extends upward from an elaborate root system supporting a bird’s nest done in gold gilt. Entire pattern has numerous hidden elves and trolls. Birds and fairies fly across the sky. Bottom of bowl has a center medallion with a mermaid gazing into a mirror. Marked on the underside with Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood”, “England”. Also marked with pattern “Z4968”. SIZE: 11” dia x 5-3/4” t. CONDITION: Some very minor scratches to interior bottom of bowl, otherwise very good. 5-63625 (8,000-12,000)
