*FABULOUS BERTUZZI SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 5910. Cal. 12 ga. 27-3/4″ bbls. Tapered concave rib with single gold sighting bead. 2-3/4″ chambers, thin wall choke tube, ejectors, and double triggers. Top rib is engraved, “Flli. Bertuzzi, Via A. Volta, Gardone. V.T. Brescia, Italy.” This fabulously engraved receiver has rising pheasants on left plate, ducks on bottom, and ptarmigan in mountain scene on right. The scene on bottom is signed by “Fracassi.” The remainder of receiver is done a fine foliate arabesque scroll with shaded background and signed, “Creative Art.” There is gold wire border on top tang and trigger guard. Mounted with dark streaky walnut, checkered splinter forend with inlaid gold crest engraved, “Flli Bertuzzi.” Checkered straight grip stock with dropper point, 14-3/8″ to checkered butt with engraved heel and toe plates. Bore diameter: left -.729, right -.729. Bore restrictions: left -Briley, right -Briley. Wall thickness: left -.030, right -.028. Drop at heel: 1-3/4″. Drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 6 lbs 6 oz. Cased in leather luggage case with makers label, and maroon lining. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 95-98% orig blue with some minor thinning near muzzle, and a few light handling marks. The fine gray receiver is crisp with some dried oil causing some darkening in the corners. Stocks are sound with just a few light minor handling marks and retain nearly all of their fine orig finish. 4-32023 BDT152 (25,000-35,000)
