SPECTACULAR CARVED MEERSCHAUM PIPE. Wonderfully carved “SEA FOAM” pipe, 9″ overall length with tulip shaped bowl with an Indian on horseback with full headdress holding a tomahawk attacking a lion. It has a beautiful curved amber stem & fine detailed carvings elsewhere. Accompanied by its orig German made leather covered clamshell case. CONDITION: Heavily caked on inside with beginning of golden coloring on bottom toward stem. Stem shows moderate to heavy teeth marks. Appears to be completely orig & intact. Case shows heavy wear with loss of most of its external finish. Interior is fine. 4-57729 JR597 (1,500-2,500)
