SCARCE VARIATION SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1 SECOND ISSUE TIP UP REVOLVER. Cal. 22 Short. Silver and blued finish, 3-3/16” oct ribbed bbl with square butt, 2-pc rosewood grips. Sideplate is the early square back version. SN 11750. CONDITION: Good, all matching including the grips. Frame retains about 80% original silver. Bbl and cylinder are gray metal color with scattered light pitting. The hinge screw is a replacement. Strong, dark bore. Cylinder latch has a welded repair and does not fully engage, otherwise mechanics are fine. Cylinder patent line is about half visible.
