BAKER PATENT CAP DISPENSER. George W. Baker patented this capper September 1, 1857, which information is stamped on the top of this engraved capper. The rear of this is engraved in fancy script “G W Baker / Burlington / Vt” surrounded by light scroll engraving. Matching scroll is on the front. Pictured in Vermont’s Gunsmiths & Gunmakers pg. 21. CONDITION: Solder repair at the nozzle affects the sides only. Mellow patina overall. 4-52967 FS88 (1,000-2,000)
