FINE MASONIC FRATERNAL SWORD. Early sword by Bent & Bush Boston, Mass and so marked at the ricasso with 28” narrow dbl edged blade with etched panels on both sides. One with the name “Roy McLarren” and the other “ST. George Commandery K.T.”. Handle is smooth 2-pc dark wood with a stylized cross, red in the center, bronze knights head pommel cap and cross guard with early American eagle with chain knuckle guard. Scabbard is black enameled steel with silver plated furniture. Throat is nicely engraved with a red painted cross with intertwined snake and the Latin phrase “In Hoc Signo / Vinces”. CONDITION: Blade is extremely fine, bronze and silver mounts are deeply patinated. Handle is fine. Scabbard is clean and undented. 4-48752 JR537 (200-400)
