MONUMENTAL DAUM THISTLE VASE. Extremely beautiful Daum vase has cameo and enameled thistle stems, leaves and flowers against an acid textured opalescent background. The frosted opalescent background glass has streaks of green and lavender extending down from the mouth of the vase. The cameo leaves and stems are enameled with black and gray and highlighted with gold gilt and the thistle flowers are enameled in a rich lavender. The collar at the neck of the vase is heavily enameled with a ring of thistles against a heavy gold swirled background. Signed on the bottom “Daum Nancy” with Cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 18-7/8” t.
