MONUMENTAL DAUM THISTLE VASE. This spectacular Daum vase has cameo thistle leaves and stems extending upward from foot with beautiful lavender enameled thistle flowers highlighting the vase. The cameo stems and leaves have enamel highlights in black and gray with gold trim and veining in leaves and stems. The cameo thistles are set against a beautiful light blue opalescent body with wonderful streaks of pink and green, all of which is finished with an acid texture. A beautifully enameled collar of thistles against a swirling gold background ring the neck of the vase. Signed on bottom “Daum Nancy” with the Cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 18-7/8” t.
