MASS. ARMS CO MAYNARD TAPE PRIMER REVOLVER. Cal. 32. SN: 247 on the end of the cylinder pin, 7 on the cylinder, and 621 on the face of the breech. 6″ rnd bbl. The advance wheel for the Maynard Tape Primer is missing and a blank disk inserted in its place. Marked “MASS. ARMS CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS” on the topstrap and “MAYNARD’S PATENT / SEP. 22. 1845” on the primer cover. The cylinder is hand revolved and has faint remains of the etching. CONDITION: Smooth brown patina mixed with light surface rust and pitting. Backstrap screw is replaced and only sections of silver plate remain. Grips are slightly battered with chips missing at the top and a crack from the end of the lockplate to the bottom on the right side has been repaired. Mechanically good. 4-52974 FS207 (500-750)
