AMES NCO SWORD. 32-1/8” single fuller, straight blade with Ames logo on left ricasso and “U.S. / JH / 1864” on the right. “JH” marking in smaller letters also appears on the left side of the knuckle bow. Brown iron sheath has lightly brass mountings with inspector initials on the drag. CONDITION: Very good blade with lightly scattered rust spots. Hilt has a chocolate-brown patina. Scabbard retains much of its finish with a few dents and some scratching. Throat and tip are somewhat battered. 4-48517 FS154 (400-600)
