ATTRIBUTED TO EDMUND DARCH LEWIS (American, 1835-1910) SUNDAY STROLL. Unsigned oil on canvas scene shows a dirt roadway with three strollers. The road is lined with tall trees and wood fence. It leads to a stone and wood bridge, which connects to a large field with church and buildings beyond. Two cows stand in shallow river. Housed in a period gilt gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 30” x 50”. CONDITION: Relined, inpainting with some tear repairs, which is very well done. Very good. 9-29050 (2000-3000)
