HAROLD RUDOLPH (American, -1884) WESTERN RIVER VALLEY. Fine oil on canvas scene shows a deep valley surrounded by tall rocky mountains. A river with green plain is seen below. The foreground shows a log cabin with man having gun over shoulder approaching. Signed lower right “Rudolph” and dated indistinctly. Housed in a fine gilt gesso decorated modern frame. After painting portraits in New Orleans, this artist turned to western landscapes. SIZE: 22-3/4” x 31-3/4”. CONDITION: Very good, some restoration with inpainting. 9-73822 (2,000-3,000)
