HERMANN KERN (Hungarian, 1839-1912) PLAYMATES. Oil on canvas scene shows a little girl seated in an interior barn setting next to her dog who has made a dog bed out of a tipped over keg. Interior has a sharpening stone, wheelbarrow, grain bin, baskets and pottery. The little girl is seated barefoot with a red, white and blue outfit. Signed lower right “Kern H 85″. Housed in a fine gilt decorated frame with gilt liner having name plaque with title and artist. SIZE: 15-1/2″ x 19-1/2”. CONDITION: Relined, masking varnish. Very good. 9-92641 (25,000-30,000)
