SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1830 MUSKET WITH BAYONET. Cal. 69. NSN. 42” rnd bbl. Standard Springfield markings dated 1836 on lockplate and bbl tang. Sharp, “JM” and “EB” cartouches on left side of stock. The 16-1/2” bayonet is marked “US / WT” at base. It has a half fuller on top side. CONDITION: Fine. Slight signs of cleaning on bright surfaces. Gray patina with light surface rust on lockplate and hammer. Wood is sharp with little signs of use. Bayonet has spots of light surface rust and pitting.
