S.F.B.J. CHARACTER TODDLER DOLL. This 1910 era French character boy has a head incised “S.F.B.J. 251 Paris 10”. He has blue glass sleep eyes with both upper and lower painted eyelashes, an open mouth with two upper teeth and a separately molded tongue on his original French toddler body with diagonal hip joining and wears an antique strawberry blond mohair wig, a two-piece white linen sailor’s suit with blue collar and blue decoration on the sleeves and slightly newer white oil cloth boots. SIZE: 18-1/2″ (47cm). CONDITION: Excellent with minor typical wear on several fingertips, body finish is original. 1-8246 RS (1,500-1,800)
