RARE DAUM CAMEO & ENAMEL VASE.

RARE DAUM CAMEO & ENAMEL VASE. Exceptionally fine Daum monumental vase has cameo wild orchids enameled with green leaves and stems and beautifully detailed mauve and brown orchid flowers. Hovering around flowers are numerous cameo and enameled bumble bees. Entwined within the leaves of the flowers are two beautifully detailed spider webs. One bumble bee appears to be caught in one of the spider webs. The cameo and enamel design encircles the entire vase and is done against an internally decorated brown and yellow mottled background. The foot of the vase is decorated with stylized floral design and gilt highlights. Signed on bottom “Daum Nancy” with Cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 16-3/4” t. CONDITION: Some very minor wear to the gilt band on edge of foot, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-70989 (20,000-25,000)
