US MODEL 1842 ARTILLERY SWORD. 32” single fuller blade is marked “U.S” on the right ricasso. The date appears to be 1852 but the balance of the mark is unreadable. CONDITION: Blade has been cleaned and has a small nick near the tip, otherwise good. The hilt and scabbard have a dark, dirty patina but the wrapping and grip covering are solid. FS35 4-48750 (300-500)
