EARLY FOUR SLAT LADDER-BACK SIDE CHAIR IN OLD BLACK. Sausage and ball turned back and front posts, double stretcher with an older rush seat. Graduated back slats with an old black over an earlier red paint. 18th Century. PROVENANCE: From a Newburyport, Massachusetts home. SIZE: 41” h x 16-1/4” seat h. CONDITION: Generally good, the top slat has chip and crack and some wear to black paint. 9-28497 (400-600)
