DAUM WHEEL CARVED VASE. Beautiful vase has white daisy-like flowers trapped between layers of clear glass with wheel-carving to make flowers more realistic with green leaves and brown vines. The vase shades from amethyst to lilac and is randomly decorated with martele diagonal panels. The neck of the vase has icicle design descending from the lip. Although the vase is signed on the underside with a very faint “Daum Nancy” signature and it appears this very vase is pictured in Blount’s book French Cameo Glass , page 69, plate 90 and is identified as Daum. We feel the design and workmanship are that of Burgun & Schverer. SIZE: 7-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with an inclusion on the reverse side of the vase. 5-65906 (7,000-9,000)
