AMES MODEL 1842 ARTILLERY SWORD. 32-1/4” single fuller blade with standard Ames logo on the left ricasso and “U.S. / JH / 1861” on the right. “JH” inspector also appears on the knuckle bow. Iron scabbard also has iron mounts. CONDITION. Good to very good with some corrosion on the hilt. Scabbard does not show any seam and is possibly an artificially aged reproduction. 4-48512 FS147 (300-600)
