BRITISH ENGINEERS SWORD. 32-3/4” single fuller blade marked “PILLIN / MANUFACTURE / -31- / GERRARDS- SOHO / LONDON” on the left ricasso and a six pointed star surrounding “PROVED” in a gold cartouche on the right. Right side of the blade is also etched and engraved “ROYAL / ENGINEERS” above their emblem, the left side of the blade has Queen Victoria’s monogram. A brass guard, hilt, and scabbard are standard British military issue for the late 19th century. CONDITION: Blade is excellent, the balance well worn. 4-48509 FS135 (600-800)
