THREE ENGRAVED OR FROSTED GLASS YALE COLLEGE SPORTING GLASS PLATES. These plates were acquired from a retired employee of Yale University. One depicts a Yale sculling crew of nine figures in boat in tree lined river. This plate with flesh colored figures in gray and blue Yale uniforms. Some with the Yale “Y” apparent. Another plate depicts a track figure leaping hurdles with determined look on his face, his shirt with shield insignia, not sure if this is for Yale or for Olympics insignia. The third depicting an early baseball batter showing front of his uniform with no insignia. The plates date to some time in the teens or 20’s and are nicely detailed. A great lot of early Yale related sporting items. SIZE: Baseball player: 10″ x 8″. Track figure: 10″ x 8″. Sculling Crew: 12″ x 8″. CONDITION: Generally very good to excellent. 5-68701 (500-1,000)
