TRIPLETT & SCOTT CIVIL WAR CARBINE. Cal. 50. SN 1134. 22” rnd bbl marked “MERIDEN MAN’FG. CO. / MERIDEN, CONN.” on the left side of the frame, “KENTUCKY” on the left side of the receiver, and “TRIPLETT & SCOTT / PATENT DEC. 6. 1864” on the upper tang. The sling swivels at the butt have been removed. CONDITION: 85% blue mixed with light surface rust on the bbl, 75% casehardening colors on the action. Stock has the usual crack at the magazine on the left side but is otherwise fine. Action is fine. 4-52489 FS12 (1,500-2,500)
