NAPOLEONIC ERA ENGLISH OFFICERS SWORD. Fine light dress sword with 32-1/2” triangular blade with light arabesque pattern engraving about 6” down the blade. The handguard is eliptical with raised dots around the border. The handle is braided copper wire wrapped and it has a decorated iron knuckle bow with ball knob quillion and it has an hour glass quillion block with finger tabs and an urn shaped pommel cap. The quillion block, knuckle bow and pommel cap are all decorated in deep, filed chevron patterns. CONDITION: Fine, the iron retains an overall medium gray patina, the copper handle wrap is a deep oxidized copper color. The handguard has an old repair completely across the center. 4-48938 R726 (500-800)
