FABULOUS FOLK ART CRAZY QUILT WITH CATS. Circa 1880. This folk art quilt is made of velvet patches and having fur fabric work. The fifteen squares are bordered by a green outside border having red tufts. Six of the squares are made up of different color patches and have a fur worked cat with button eyes giving it a three-dimensional effect. The other squares show colorful flowers and shapes on a patchwork background. Comes with a Velcro wood frame for display. REFERENCE: Exhibited at the Folk Art Museum in the 1970’s.
