BURNSIDE FOURTH MODEL CARBINE. CAL. 54. SN: 33711. 21” rnd bbl. Standard markings on the receiver and lockplate. The carbine has apparently been stored over a fireplace as the left side of the stock is badly scorched. The outlines of the cartouches have been restruck. The guide screw on the right side of the frame is incorrect and does not guide the breechblock. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina with moderate surface rust and pitting. Right side of the stock has normal dents and gouges. Action would work okay if the proper screw were installed. 4-52792 FS183 (800-1,200)
