SOUTH CAROLINA STARR SABER. Rare Model 1813 Dragoon saber by Nathan Starr. Stamped on blade “P OA N.STARR US” on reverse stamped “S CAROLINA”. This scarce early southern used saber is considered a secondary Confederate arm. SIZE: Blade is 33-3/4, overall 38-3/4″. CONDITION: Wood grip is intact, but split. Traces of original leather remain. Sword has rust overall and heavy pitting to bottom half of blade. Scabbard has an overall rust patina with dents and two holes at tip. Throat missing. 4-48987 BF1 (1,800-2,500)
