SILVER & IVORY HILT HUNTING SWORD. A truly stunning ivory dog’s head pommel sword with faceted red gems for eyes. Grip is silver wire and tape wrapped, a silver chain guard connects the pommel to the four slot silver crossguard. Dbl. fuller blade. SIZE: Blade is 24-3/8″, overall 30″. CONDITION: Ivory hilt shows only minor age cracks toward the ferrule. Wire chain guard intact. Silver wire intact as is the silver tape, however the silver tape appears to have two soldered repairs, not detracting from its overall appearance. The silver guard has some engraving and is in fine condition. The blade is in good condition with a silvery gray patina and minor pitting only near the tip. 4-49003 BF17 (2,500-3,000)
