PHILADELPHIA-TYPE AMERICAN SILVER HILT SABER. Classic Philadelphia eagle pommel with silver guard and ebony grip and single fuller blade. SIZE: Blade is 26-1/4″, overall is 31-5/8″. CONDITION: Eagle head pommel is in good condition with minor dents as normally seen. A small 1/16″ piece of silver is missing where the guard meets the pommel. Guard is solid with minor bends only. Ebony grip has two small flat chips near the pommel. Grip does not appear to have ever had a wire wrap. Single fuller blade has been cleaned but retains substantial pitting. Overall patina of the blade is dark. 4-49002 BF16 (2,500-3,500)
