CIRCA 1800 STARR MILITIA OFFICERS SABER. Sword has brass hilt and ivory grip. Scabbard is completely brass with an exaggerated brass drag. Blade has a single fuller running 2/3 of the length of the clip pointed blade. An unrecorded and rare early product of Nathan Starr. SIZE: Blade is 36-1/8″, overall 40-3/4″. CONDITION: Ivory grip has minor cracks and chipping that does not detract from the appearance of the hilt. Brass hilt is in good solid condition. Blade is very good with only minor discoloration. Blade is marked “N STARR” under the langet. Scabbard is in excellent condition with two very minor shallow dents. 4-48990 BF4 (6,000-7,000)
