“WEAVER” SIGNED AMERICAN SILVER EAGLE HILT. The strongly executed eagle pommel is of classic Weaver style. The silver guard has a spoon shaped swell towards the pommel and is stamped “E.T. WEAVER” on the base of the crossguard. Ivory grip. Blue and gold decorated blade with spray of arms, eagle with banner reading “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and liberty cap. The scabbard is leather with silver mounts. The top mount has a ring for suspension. SIZE: Blade is 28-1/4″, overall 34-1/8″. CONDITION: Eagle pommel is good showing only minor wear and a few shallow dents. The guard also shows only minor wear. Ivory grip has several cracks, but no chips and is 100% intact. Blade shows some rust to blued and gilted areas. Blue and gilt decoration is strong in non-rusted areas. Balance of blade has smooth gray patina with only the most minor pitting and nicks to the edge. The scabbards silver mounts are in good condition with only minor wear. The leather is strong, but shows numerous scuffs and scrapes and usage wear. 4-49000 BF14 (15,000-18,000)
