*PARKER GH GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 229418. Cal. 12 ga. 28″ bbl, matted concave rib, with dual ivory sighting beads. 2-3/4″ chambers CYL./MOD, extractors and double triggers. Top rib is marked, “Parker Bros. Makers, Meriden, Conn. U.S.A. Parker Spec. Steel.” Receiver is engraved with the standard G pattern with an oval with “Parker Bros.” and two flying ducks on left sight, a circle with two pheasants on trigger plate, an oval with “Parker Bros.” and two pheasants on right side. Remainder of receiver has minimal ornamental scroll. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered splinter forend, checkered pistol grip, hard rubber grip cap, 13-7/8″ to a replacement Parker hard rubber butt plate. The raised side panel have also been nicely checkered. Bore diameter: left -.737, right -.736. Bore restrictions: left -.029, right -.010. Wall thickness: left -.026, right -.028. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Weight: 6 lbs 14 oz. The larger than standard bore diameter allows for these chokes to actually be IMP.CYL/FULL. This SN is omitted from the Parker Identification book. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 80-85% orig blue with slight muzzle wear, normal nicks and dings, and thinning in the carrying area. Receiver retains about 10% orig color just in the protected areas; remainder being a silver-gray patina with a few minor dark spots, trigger guard retains 30% orig blue flaked on bow and mixed with brown-patina and silvered from wear to the grip area. Stocks are sound with the usual minor hunting nicks and dings, a few light scratches, and retain most of it’s professional restored finish.
