FINE SMITH CARBINE. Cal. 50. SN 6390. 21-1/2” half octagonal bbl, “JH” inspector cartouche on the left side of the stock. Made by American Machine Works and so marked on the left side of the receiver along with agent and patent markings. CONDITION: Excellent. 90% blue on the bbl and bright casehardening colors on the action, brilliant on the right side, all mixed with light surface rust and pitting. Wood has minor handling marks. Action is tight. Some rust at the heel of the butt. 4-52495 FS19 (2,500-3,500)
