ALDRO THOMPSON HIBBARD (American, 1886-1972) WINTER IN VERMONT. Large oil on canvas scene shows a New England village nestled below blue mountains and rolling hills. A church with colorful buildings is seen amongst snowy patches of cultivated land. Signed bottom right “A T Hibbard”. Also stamped on canvas, stretcher and back cardboard “From the Estate of AT Hibbard, N.A. Winifred J. Hibbard”. Also numbered on canvas “5X-228”. Housed in a fine gilt carved wood arts & crafts style frame. SIZE: 26” x 36”. CONDITION: Three canvas patches to back top edge which have corresponding inpainting. Very good. 9-73513 (15,000-25,000)
