Trigger guard retains most of a very fine, professional restored blue finish. Wood is sound with just a couple of minor nicks and small chip in the pistol grip next to the pistol grip cap. Stock retains most of a very fine professionalrestored oil finish. Fore end has a crack starting at left center of fore end iron and moving diagonally forward about 1-1/2″. The bbl channels of fore end have what appears to be an application of old masking tape running the full length of the bbl channels, an apparent ingenious gunsmithing trick to tighten the fore end. The case is in good condition, with usual nicks and scuffs, a few water marks, a moderate amount of loose stitching, and is marked “Made by A.H. Hardy.” 4-31763 BDT65 (7,000-12,000)
