*PARKER CHE GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 134696. Cal. 12 ga. 32″ Acme steel bbls, matted concave rib, with single silver sighting bead. 2-3/4″ chambers IMP.MOD/IMP.MOD ejectors, and double triggers. The rib is engraved, “Parker Brothers, Makers Meriden, Conn. Acme Steel.” Receiver is engraved in typical C pattern with oval with pointer on left side, bull elk on trigger plate, and oval with pointing setter on right. Each side also has a ribbon with Parker Bros, with the remainder of the receiver in foliate arabesque scroll. Mounted with fancy streaky walnut with checkered splinter forend, checkered straight grip stock with raised side panels, and dropper point 14-1/4″ to leather face pad. Toe line has initial oval marked, “L.C.” Bore diameter: left -.733, right -.732. Bore restrictions: left -.039, right -.037. Wall thickness: left -.034, right -.031. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 8 lbs. Gun is identified in Parker Identification book as a grade 4 with 32″ Acne steel bbl. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 80-85% orig blue with slight muzzle wear, normal nicks and dings, and some thinning in the carrying area. Flats are marked with an oval “W.K.”, a circle with “A”, weight mark is “4 7”, and frame size is “2.” Receiver and forend metal are a smooth even silver-patina, with just a faint trace of case coloring in protected areas. Trigger guard is also mostly a silver gray-patina with minor traces of blue through the bow. Wood is sound with usual light nicks and scratches, and retains a lovely hand worn patina. Forend has a series of minor scuff marks on forward left portion. Mechanics are crisp, right bore is bright, left bore is shiny, but shows evidence of two dents about half way down. 4-33715 BDT103 (6,500-9,500)
