CHARLES COURTNEY CURRAN (American, 1861-1942) A SOUTHERN GARDEN COURTYARD. Oil on canvasboard spring/summer scene shows a large tree with hanging moss framing a large garden/lawn area surrounded by white, low wall. Large trees are beyond the wall and sun shines from the left casting shadows. Signed lower left “Ch. C. Curran 1920″. Housed in a period gesso decorated old frame which retains a New York framing label. SIZE: 12″ x 15-1/2”. CONDITION: Very slight bow to board, uneven varnish layer.
