*PARKER BHE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. SN 150690. Cal. 12 ga. Built on a #2 frame with 30″ Acme steel bbls choked FULL/MOD with matted rib, sgl bead, doll’s head extension, ejectors & sgl selective trigger. Receiver is beautifully engraved with about 75% coverage game scene & very fine arabesque pattern engraving. Fences have a sgl raised rib. Left side of the receiver has two bird dogs on point & the left fence has a flying partridge. Right side of receiver has two setters on point & a flying duck. Floorplate has a large scene of stag & hind in a woodland scene. Trigger bow has a pointer on point. Wood is very highly figured English or French walnut with checkered splinter forearm & straight stock with raised carved fleur-de-lis checkered side panels, 13-3/4″ over an engraved skeleton buttplate with checkered center. Accompanied by a Parker letter indicating shipment on Aug. 6, 1909 to Whiton Hardware, Seattle, WA. Letter fully identifies this shotgun with the cost of $200.00 plus $25.00 for ejectors. Drop at the heel 2-1/2″, drop at the comb 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs. 10.0 oz. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbls retain 98-99% strong bright orig blue with minor edge wear & a few light scratches. Receiver retains about 95% fading, case colors stronger in the sheltered areas, possibly an old Remington restoration. Wood is sound & retains most of a professionally restored finish.
