AMES MODEL 1840 NCO SWORD. 32-1/4” single fuller blade marked “AMES MFG Co. / CHICOPEE. MASS” on the left ricasso and “J. S. / J. F / 1864” on the right. Leather scabbard with brass fittings. CONDITION: Very good, bright blade with numerous nicks in the edges. The brass has a dark patina and a few stains, the leather is fine. 4-48595 FS94 (Lowry Estate) (500-800)
