*FINE PARKER BHE GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 238452. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ Acme Steel bbls. MOD/FULL choke, 2-3/4″ chambers, ejectors, and double triggers. Top rib marked, “Parker Bros. Makers, Meriden, CT. U.S.A. Acme Steel.” The 1-1/2″ size B grade receiver is masterfully engraved with fine foliate arabesque scroll, a duck in flight on left side, a setter and pointer in meadow scene on trigger plate, “Parker” at carry point on bottom, and three bobwhite quail on right side. There’s fine arabesque scroll on fences with single bead. Mounted with fancy walnut with full checkered splinter forend, elaborate checkered pistol grip with hard rubber grip cap and checkered side panels, with Fleur De Lis dropper point, 14″ to engraved skeleton butt plate. Bore diameter: left -.732, right -.735. Bore restrictions: left -.035, right -.030. Wall thickness: left -.028, right -.026. Drop at heel: 2-3/8″. Drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs 3 oz. The Parker Serialization book identifies this gun as being 32″; however the current 30″ bbls touch at muzzle, rib has a line with a blank spot short of muzzle, and have chokes of over 3″ in right bbl, and nearly 4″ in left bbl. There is an “RA3” stamped on left bbl flat, as well as a small star with a circle. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain nearly all of their fine rust blue, with just a few minor spots of light rust, and some very minor storage marks. Receiver retains about 90% visible case color and strong and protected areas. Balance point shows a small amount of wear and color mixed with some light spotting of patina. Trigger guard has 85-95% blue with some flaking and mixed brown-patina. Skeleton butt retains 75-80% blue with only sharp edge wear. Stocks are solid with just a few light handling marks, checkering is very good, and finish shows that of a fine hand rubbed finish.
