ROBY MODEL 1840 N.C.O. SWORD. 26-1/4” single fuller blade etched on both sides with makers mark “C. ROBY. &. Co. / W. CHELMSFORD. MASS.” on the right side. The counter guard is plain, the scabbard is missing. CONDITION: Blade is bright, there is some sign of cleaning along the edges. The etching is still sharp. The brass hilt is fine.
