RARE DAUM SNAIL VASE.

RARE DAUM SNAIL VASE. Exceptionally rare Daum vase has bluish-gray cameo grape leaves extending up from bottom and purple cameo grape clusters descending from top of vase. Around grape clusters are several cameo grape leaves in mottled red glass. All this against a background of dark amber shading to yellow. Applied to top and bottom of vase are two beautifully executed snails. The snails have frosted glass bodies with a light brown carved shell. Further accentuating this exceptional vase are several purple cabochons applied to give the grape clusters a three-dimensional effect. Signed on underside “Daum Nancy” with Cross of Lorraine.
