OIL ON CANVAS PRIMITIVE WHALING SCENE. Scene shows large sperm whale capsizing small whaling boat with men in water. Three mast whaling ship behind and other in distance. Nice folk art look on an old canvas. Probably late 19th century. Housed in what appears to be its original gold gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 14″ h x 20″ w.
