EARL CUNNINGHAM (American, 1893-1977) THE CURVING STAIRCASE. Oil on fiberboard scene shows a New England Salt Box Colonial home on a grass covered area with five trees supporting black and white tropical birds. A path leads from the house to another house which is partially viewed having a curving stairway to its fourth floor. A dock is on edge of shoreline with small three-mast boat leading to blue water with a white sailed black hulled schooner. Signed lower left “Earl Cunningham”. Housed in a stained carved wood frame. SIZE: 16″ x 16″. PROVENANCE: From a New England home. CONDITION: Very good. 9-95596 (8,000-12,000)
