US MODEL 1841 NAVAL CUTLASS. 21-1/4” diamond shaped blade marked “N.P. AMES / CABOT VILLE / MASS” on the right ricasso and “U.S. & / 1842” on the left. Brass hilt and guard. No scabbard. CONDITION: Moderate to heavy pitting on the blade with numerous nicks on both edges. The hilt is fine with very dark patina on the brass. 4-48596 FS106 (Lowry Estate) (500-600)
