U.S. MODEL 1906 SWORD. 31-7/8” slightly curved single, fuller blade marked “31 / A.S.Co /ordnance bomb / 1906” on the right ricasso “U.S.” on the left. Leather covered wood scabbard has an iron throat. Iron carrying rings were originally covered with leather but is mostly missing now. Numerous issue marks on the scabbard. CONDITION: About fine with a bright blade mostly covered with light pitting, markings are sharp. Sharkskin covering on the grip is heavily worn. Exposed iron parts have numerous specks of surface rust. Leather on the scabbard is heavily worn at the tip with about 1/2” missing, otherwise good. 4-48604 FS156 (Lowry Estate) (900-1,200)
