JACOPO AMIGONI (Italian, 1682-1752) “JUPITER AND CALLISTO”. 18th Century engraving shows Jupiter under the guise of Diana. They sit on a rock surrounded by dogs and putti. Left side margin “Amigoni Pinxit”. Right side “W. Scul Venezia C.P.E.S.”. Title “Giove di Cintia I Can Prende, e La Faccia; Elui Calisto Semplicetta Abbraccia”. Housed in a fine carved wood frame with blue highlighted matte. SIZE: Actual: 10-3/4″ x 13″. CONDITION: Left of image cut, foxing, otherwise good. Tape affixed to back paper. 9-95608 (200-400)
